Emissions Reduction Technology
Cummins is in the vanguard of supporting the environment, earning the first EPA Tier 2/IMO emission standards certification for our new wave of diesel marine power, the Quantum Series.
The Cummins Quantum Series product line was introduced in 2005 to meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) stringent Tier 2 emissions standard. Prior to 2013, the product line was certified to EPA Tier 2, IMO Tier II and EU Stage IIIa standards. The QSB6.7 introduced in 2013, was the first of the engine families to transition to certified EPA Tier 3, the QSL9 and the QSM11 transitioning in 2014.
